Annual Halloween Celebration Offers Fun for Families and Kids
Community Invited to Hillcrest Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center’s Free “Trunk or Treat” Party on Oct. 30
The community is invited to join Hillcrest Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center for its annual “Trunk-or-Treat” celebration. The free event will be held on Thurs., Oct. 30, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the parking lot of the skilled nursing facility at 100 Little Rd., in Lower Burrell, Pa. Halloween-themed activities will feature decorated car trunks where Hillcrest staff, many in costume, will hand out candy for the trick-or-treaters.
Kids and their families are encouraged to join in on the fun of coming in costume while enjoying an event filled with Halloween spirit. “We enjoy celebrating the fall season with our residents and families in the community,” said Jennifer Mckeag, activities director of Hillcrest Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
“This annual event combines Halloween fun and community spirit, making it a special tradition for everyone. Each year, we look forward to welcoming local families and creating lasting memories.” Everyone is encouraged to bring a bag, pillowcase, or pumpkin basket to collect treats.
“Our staff looks forward to welcoming community members while decked out in their favorite costumes,” said McKeag. “This event is our first of upcoming events in the community, we’re proud to offer opportunities that bring families together and strengthen community connections.”
Staff members will park their decorated cars in the Hillcrest Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center parking lot where kids can collect sweet treats in a safe, well-lit setting. There will be multiple candy givers, and the skilled nursing facility will provide treats and snacks for free.
Please call Jennifer McKeag at 724-339-1071 with questions about the Trunk-or-Treat event. Reservations are not required, and the event will be held rain or shine.
